When it comes to fast, one has to define what fast is. Fast is relative. Personally I don't find the 100S fast in focusing but it wasn't bad for the format when it was released. The newer models are faster and better of course but I'm not a fan of the Fujifilm pricing of the newest model which is the reason I won't buy it; even if I could find one.
