This is one of a few sailing trips we took to the Mediterranean Sea. Each time we went, we picked a different area on the Italian west coast. We had some really memorable, unforgettable, and enjoyable trips. We got to know the west coast of Italy and its surrounding islands and people. On this trip, Ponza was the destination. We did however sail to other islands in the area.

When on a sailing boat (ours was a 54' er) like ours it is essential to keep all your equipment small and light. In this regard the MFT system is ideal. It's perfect if it all fits in one small shoulder bag. It very often comes down to anchoring offshore as the port fees are extortionately high (on Capri for instance).
