There are two problems with this camera that Leica should have addressed before releasing the camera to the public.

The first problem is speed. Focusing is extremely slow and sometimes proves to be acutely frustrating. The second problem is a lack of IBIS and/or OIS. Two extremely important points in my opinion that drives users away from purchasing a camera. Together with a price tag of €2450 when it came out, this was a camera for people with too much money on their hands. There were cheaper cameras with more options than the X Vario.

Having said that, if you have time on your hands and do not take pictures of moving objects in low light, then this camera could be for you. It doesn't cost a kidney anymore but the used price is still quite high; maybe a little too high in my opinion.

Image quality is very good however.
