Fujifilm X30: A Compact Camera Overview

Let's see what the main differences are over the X20:

Viewfinder: The X20 uses an optical tunnel viewfinder with a digital overlay. The X30 replaces this with a large, bright 2.36M-dot OLED Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) that shows 100% frame coverage and real-time exposure settings.

Rear Screen: The X20 has a fixed 2.8-inch screen. The X30 upgrades to a larger 3.0-inch tilting LCD screen for easier high- and low-angle shooting.

Battery: The X20 uses the NP-50 battery, which has a relatively short life. The X30 uses the larger NP-95 battery, which drastically increases the number of shots per charge. It's the same battery as in the X100 series of cameras (apart from the last version).

WiFi: The X30 adds built-in WiFi for remote shooting and transferring images to a phone or tablet. The X20 lacks wireless capability.

And last but not least, the best enhancement for me is the Control Ring. The X30 adds a physical control ring around the lens base for fast adjustments to settings like aperture or shutter speed. I never liked that little control wheel they used on the X10 and X20. I use the Control Ring all the time on the X30 to change the Aperture.

All-in-all the X30 is a much better camera than the previous 2 models in the series IN EVERY ASPECT.

Unfortunately the price is really high for this camera but it does reflect how good this camera really is.
